The community council of Asgata, within the frame of its endeavors to develop the village has already completed many infrastructure and embellishment projects. It has also scheduled many new projects that will add to the beauty of the village.

Some of the completed projects are:

1. Asphalt road of Esso-Galata

It is a picturesque road of 5,5 kilometres leading to the cultivated area of Galata. All farmers use it to reach their fields and many people that want to experience nature. It is a route covered in green and fresh air and whoever uses that road can hear the birds singing and the water running in creeks.

2. Watermill of Galata ( of Rodou)

It was one of the oldest watermills in Asgata.
It was renovated in 2002; its renovation was funded by the Galata  Expatriates’ and Friends’ Association.

3. Parking Place-Park

There was a square at the centre of the community, which was transformed into a parking place and a playground in 1994.

4. Heroes’ Monument

An honorary monument was constructed for the people of the community that died fighting for this country in the churchyard of Panayia Odigitria (Leading Virgin Mary).

5. Community Buildings

New buildings to cover the needs of the community council were built in the schoolyard of the old school (Philotheio). The new building includes a multiple-usage hall, in which lectures, theatrical performances, wedding receptions a.o. take place during winter. The building also includes new offices for the community council, an office for the President of the community council, a conference room and a library.

6. Change of the water-supply pipelines

The water-supply network has been renovated. Works were completed in 2006.

7. Hideaway

The hideaway where two heroes, Evagoras Papachristoforou and Chrysnathos Mylonas were killed has been restored by their fellow-fighter Assiotis.

8. Path of Nature

A unique nature path connecting the Byzantine churches of Panayia         Podithou and the Archangel with the centre of the community. It will comprise a picturesque route, next to Klarios River and through the mill of Rodou. It is expected to be completed by the end of June 2008.

9. Solea Sport Centre “Charalambos Koukoularides”

A multidynamic sports centre serving the district of Solea and many more   surrounding areas.
It will be built next to the District Panaretio Primary School of Galata, in a piece of land given by the Holy Eparchy of Morphou to the Community Council for a basic amount of rent.
